About the compatibility score
The percentage our calculator returns comes from a fixed interpretive framework covering all sixty-four possible pairings of the eight lunar phases. It reflects traditional astrological thinking about how those emotional rhythms interact.
It is not a measurement of anything. A high score does not mean a relationship will succeed, and a low score does not mean one will fail. Real relationships are built by two people through honesty, effort, and time — not decided by the sky on the day either of them was born.
Accuracy of the lunar calculation
The astronomical part is genuine. We calculate the moon’s age using a known reference new moon and the mean synodic month of 29.530588853 days. The moon stays within the same named phase for roughly three to four days, which is why a birth date alone is enough and no birth time is required.
The interpretation layered on top of that calculation is traditional, not empirical.
